He has a degree in Mathematics from the Catholic University of Salvador (1997), a PhD in Mathematics Education from the Universidade Estadual Paulista Júlio de Mesquita Filho (2001) and post-doctorates at London South Bank University (2008) and the University of London (2013-2014) . In the second semester of 2023, funded by the CAPES PRINT Program, she will carry out a postdoctoral internship at Rutgers University, United States. Since 2010, he has been an associate professor, on an exclusive basis, at Department II of the Faculty of Education at the Federal University of Bahia.
Lynn Rosalina Gama Alves, currently a CNPq Technological Development and Innovative Extension Productivity Scholarship - Level 1D, has a degree in Pedagogy from the Faculty of Education of Bahia (1985), a Master's degree (1998) and a Doctorate (2004) in Education from the Federal University of Bahia . The Post-doctorate was in the area of Electronic games and learning at the University of Turin, in Italy. She is a professor and researcher at the Institute of Humanities, Arts and Science-IHAC-UFBA, Permanent Professor of the Postgraduate Program in Teaching, Philosophy and History of Science and coordinator of the Virtual Communities Research Network-UFBA
This article focuses on the production of Digital Mathematical Narratives in the open world Minecraft. They were produced by fifth-grade children in Minecraft game sessions during a university extension workshop for playful and creative learning of Mathematics. This work aims to identify which Digital Mathematical Narratives emerge from the association of children with the Minecraft environment. The concepts of Digital Narratives, Mathematical Narratives, sociotechnical network, agency and actants are articulated as a theoretical framework. We follow the theoretical and methodological path proposed by Actor- Network Theory, associated with the Cartography technique. The results indicate that the narratives that emerged from this productive flow are the result of the sociotechnical network performed by children and Minecraft; when children associate with Minecraft and its elements to build and solve tasks and problems that involve mathematical knowledge and content, they produce Digital Mathematical Narratives, named in this work as Digimatic Narratives, Digimatic Narratives are the result of a composite authorship performed by children, Minecraft, mathematical knowledge and other human and non-human actors that produce the network.
