This article is focused to center the alternative conceptions of students at a secondary level which are found in answers to questions of a questionnaire about the analysis of functions trough its Cartesians graphics. The proposed questions consist on the determination of areas or increasing intervals, decrease, stabilization and coordination of the simultaneous properties, so much on the plan location or the behavior itself. This research was carried out with forty students at the secondary level, just after they have studied the topics of graphics and analysis of functions without using derivatives. The alternatives conceptions found show us that an important part of the students consider that a function is positive if its graphic has positive abscissas, no matter the signs of its ordinates, analogous conceptions were found for negative functions, they considered that a function has station points where the graphics cut the x axis, or when has abscissas equal to zero. Moreover we noted that, on the one hand there is a strong relationship of concomitance between the increasing function and the positive function, on the other hand between decreasing function and negative function.
