The objective of this research is to identify support resources for the solution of mathematical problems used by freshmen undergraduate students, as well as freshmen students undergoing an Specialization in Math Pedagogy.
The research model is ethnographic. Dissertation support resources were empirically identified; mathematical resources were deductively identified. The study was developed during one year.
A classification was developed for dissertation and mathematical resource used for validation processes. Components of socio- cultural type were also identified. Traditionally, these do not make part of mathematical processes, but the determine mechanisms of specific interaction of argumentation in a mathematical context.
