Abstract

The work that follows, is one of the investigations being carried out within a broader line, which some approaches are converging on the one hand, philosophical fallibility of the proposals, on the dialogical nature of mathematics as well as strands within mathematics education like critical mathematics, the ethnomathematics, math and humanities within a particular field of education, called poiesis education. This study looks specifically on the interpretation of high school students, the logical principle of identity in algebraic expressions and their difficulties and implications of working with mathematical content.
