Undoubtedly, an academic or professional postgraduate program in mathematics education focused on innovation or scientific research is in itself a highly relevant project for the institution that hosts it (Bachelard, 1938). The Postgraduate in Didactics of Mathematics (dm) of the Pontifical Catholic University of Valparaíso (pucv), made up of the Master's and Doctorate Programs, was born within the Institute of Mathematics (ima) of said university and is inserted in the Faculty of Sciences, making it a one-of-a-kind program.
