This article presents part of the results of a qualitative study focused on the articulation between literary, linguistic and mathematical education, through poetry in the context of pre-school education. Poems written by Portuguese poets and learning paths constructed and developed through their mobilization with 5-year-old children are visited, namely: “Contas de somar” (Ribeiro, 2011), “Segredo” (Torga, 1956) and “Eucalipto” (Mangas & Mésseder, 2002). Through the presentation and analysis of the paths, some contributions of the aforementioned articulation to the promotion of mathematical skills in the pre-school education context are highlighted.
