The purpose of this work is to present a panorama of the production of the Venezuelan community of Mathematics Education. The units análisis whereupon worked were the postdegree programs and their products (Special Degree Works (TEG)), the publications and the academic events specialized in the area. The used methodology was of the documentary type. To the TEG a secondary analysis was applied and to analyze the interviews a content analysis was carried out. One concluded that in spite of the necessity to reconstruct the postdegree programs, the shortage of Venezuelan publications in Mathematics Education and the little contribution of the events to the consolidation of the area; the community is in a process of revision and growing that will fortify it.
